BRVCS Continues February 23 With Performance by Northern Blend Chorus at Historical Society in Lowville February 12, 2019 08:00 p.m. |
The fourth concert in the 2019 Lewis County Historical Society Black River Valley Concert Series features the Northern Blend Chorus, on stage in the Society’s Blue Room, State St in Lowville on February 23rd at 7:30 p.m. Northern Blend is a ladies’ barbershop chorus comprised of women who live in and around Watertown, NY. The chorus members come from all walks of life but are unified by their love of music. Within the ranks of the barbershop chorus are quartets—foursomes who seek to harmonize more often than with just the chorus. We will be hosting several of these quartets in the Blue Room. The chorus chartered with Harmony, Inc. in 1985. The purpose of this international non-profit organization is to empower all women through education, friendship, and a cappella singing in the barbershop style. Northern Blend Chorus is one of 12 choruses in Area 3 of Harmony, Inc., an area that has produced both national and international champions. Northern Blend Chorus is the 2017 International Chorus Champion! We are looking forward to ‘harmonizing’ with you so please join us in supporting the Lewis County Historical Society and shaking off the February chill. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door, and $45 for families. Tickets are available for purchase at the Historical Society and Café Z in Lowville, Dr. Guitar in Watertown, and online at www.lewiscountyhistory.org. Jeb’s Restaurant, Sunnycrest Flowers, and Kinney Drugs are providing meals, flowers, and bottled water, respectively. For tickets or information call the Historical Society at 315 376 8957. |
