Friday, October 28, with Judge Daniel R. King presiding: Sentencing: Scott H. Farr, 44, of Lowville, received sentencing on a pair of charges. On a charge of Aggravated Contempt, a Class "D" felony, he was sentenced to 2 to 6 years in State Prison. An order of protection was issued for an eight year period from the maximum release date on the victim's behalf. He was additionally ordered to pay $375 in court fees. Mr. Farr pleaded guilty to the charge on August 26th. A second sentence of one year in Lewis County Jail was handed down on a charge of fourth-degree Criminal Mischief, a class "A" misdemeanor. The sentence is to run concurrent with the above sentence. Mr. Farr was also ordered to pay $1,114.20 in restitution and an additional $250 in court fees. An order of protection was issued on this victim's behalf for a period of five years. He was accused of violating a court order of protection in January and damaging another persons property during a dispute in December. Jessica Kloster, 35, Carthage, was sentenced to pay $40 in restitution and $50 in court fees on a charge of second-degree Attempted Burglary, a class "D" felony, to which she pleaded guilty to on August 26th. An order of protection was issued on the victim's behalf for five years. Ms. Kloster was arrested by New York State Police in August of 2015, after an investigation into a July, 2015 incident in the Town of Denmark. Cassandra D. Koster, 29, Boonville, received a sentence of 1 to 3 years in State Prison on a charge of second-degree Possession of a Forged Instrument, a class "D" felony. She pleaded guilty to the charge on July 29th. The sentence will run concurrent with a sentence received in Oneida County Court. Ms. Koster was additionally ordered to pay $726 in restitution and $375 in court fees. She was accused of forging a check belonging to another person and cashing it at the Hill Top Market in West Leyden on March 15th. Michael P. Lamphear, 39, Syracuse, was sentenced to one year in Lewis County Jail and five years of probation, to run concurrent, on a felony DWI charge, to which he pleaded guilty on July 29th. He was additionally ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and $570 in court fees, and must participate in a Victim Impact Panel. Mr. Lamphier was accused of operating an ATV while intoxicated in the Town of Pinckney, during the SNIRT Run on April 16th. He was previously convicted of DWI in July of 2014 in the Town of DeWitt, according to court records, resulting in the felony charge. Dylan J. Parkis, 24, Black River, was sentenced to a total of 10 days in Lewis County Jail and five years of probation on charges of felony Aggravated DWI and second-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation,an unclassified misdemeanor, to which guilty pleas were entered on July 29th. He was also ordered to serve 50 hours of Community Service and pay $2,000 in fines and $570 in court fees. He will additionally be required to participate in a Victim Impact Panel. Mr. Parkis was arrested in the Town of Diana on June 21st for driving with an alleged Blood Alcohol Content of .18%. Bryan M. Spear, 26, Glenfield, was sentenced to 3 years in State Prison, with two years of post release parole on a charge of third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class "B" felony. He was mandated for the state prison system’s 90-day Willard Drug Rehabilitation Program, which allows inmates who successfully complete the program to serve the remainder of their prison sentences under parole supervision. Mr. Spear additionally received a sentence of 1 to 3 years in State Prison with five years of post release parole, to run concurrent with the above sentence, on a charge of felony Aggravated DWI. He was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and $945 in court fees between the two charges,and will be required to participate in a Victim Impact Panel. He is accused of possessing methamphetamine on March 27th in the town of Martinsburg and driving while impaired by drugs with a child in the vehicle on May 10th in Lowville. Mr. Spear pleaded guilty to both charges on August 12th PLEAS: Cody J. Amidon, 25, of Turin, pleaded GUILTY to a charge of second-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation ofa Mor Vehicle,an unclassified misdemeanor. Sentencing was scheduled for January 6th. Mr. Amidon was arrested on July 28th in the Village of Lowville, while allegedly operating a motorcycle despite having sixteen license suspensions. Renea L. Farr, 30, Port Leyden, pleaded GUILTY to a charge of fourth-degree Criminal Mischief, a class "A" misdemeanor. Sentencing in the case will take place on November 4th. Ms. Farr was arrested in July after allegedly causing damage to a vehicle owned by another party. Brittney N. Moshier, 23, Constableville, pleaded NOT GUILTY to a charge of fifth-degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, a class "D" felony. Her case was adjourned until December 2nd. Ms. Moisher was arrested on September 28th as part of the "Operation Northern Watch" drug roundup. Robert K. Nagy, 28, Greig, entered a GUILTY plea to a charge of third-degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a class "D" felony. He will be sentenced on January 6th. Mr. Nagy was accused of making meth on December 28th in Port Leyden. Richard M. Nellenbach, 28, of Lowville, pleaded GUILTY to a charge of third- degree Burglary, a class "D" felony. Sentencing was set for December 2nd. The charge stemmed from an incident on April 3rd in the Town of Harrisburg. Mr. Nellenbach is facing a large number of burglary charges in Oneida county as well. Dawn Stanley, 39, Lowville, entered a GUILTY plea to a charge of fifth-degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, a class "D" felony. Sentencing is scheduled for December 16th. Ms. Stanley was one of sixteen individuals arrested on September 28th as part of the "Operation Northern Watch" drug roundup. Joshua R. Taylor, 28, Lowville, was arraigned and entered NOT GUILTY pleas to charges of second-degree Strangulation, a class "D" felony, second- degree Assault, a class "D" felony, and fourth-degree Criminal Mischief, a class "A" misdemenor. His case was adjourned until January 20th. The charges stem from an incident in the Town of Lowville on January 2nd. |
