    Lowville- The Lewis County Farm Bureau will be hosting a 'Meet the
    Candidates' forum on Tuesday, October 27, in the auditorium at the Lowville
    Academy and Central School beginning at 6:30 PM.

    The event is an effort give the public an opportunity to learn more about the
    candidates running for office in the November 3rd election. The program is
    scheduled for two hours, with the first hour featuring candidates for the Lewis
    County Legislature, with three of ten available seats being contested. The
    second hour will focus on county-wide candidates for District Attorney, Sheriff,
    and County Clerk.

    The format will include an introduction from each candidate, questions from the
    audience, and a concluding statement from each candidate. Questions from the
    audience will be submitted to and read by a moderator.

    This will be the first year the event will only be held in one location, with all the
    legislative candidates appearing at the same time.

    We will have much more coverage of the election and candidates in our
    upcoming election special.
