Town of Lyonsdale- The Lewis County Sheriff's Department responded to a personal injury ATV accident on Fowlerville Road in the Town of Lyonsdale, at around 3 PM on Sunday afternoon, deputies released today. According to deputies, Taylor R. Griffin, 19, was following behind Ben C. Fuller, 26, on the road when Mr. Griffin's ATV struck the rear of Mr. Fuller's ATV. The collision caused Mr. Griffin to be ejected from his ATV. He was assessed on scene and transported by Port Leyden ambulance to Lewis County General Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries. Deputies said both riders were wearing a helmet. Both men were issued tickets for Operating on a Closed Road, while Mr. Griffin was additionally charged with Uninsured ATV and Operating at Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent. All charges are returnable at Town of Lyonsdale court at a later date. |
