Lowville- The Lewis County Harvest of the Arts needs your help! With just over a month to go before the event is scheduled to take place, the organization that normally provides their volunteers has notified them they will be unable to do so. This has them scrambling at this late juncture to ensure they will have the volunteers needed to make sure the event can take place for the 15th consecutive year.
Ridge Center in Lowville. This event is always a well attended day out for the entire family, with plenty of food, activities and local artisans on hand.
are a number of things they are in need of. They are looking for someone to run the Children's Art Barn, or a combination of people to cover the day. They are also seeking help with setting up for the event and tearing down afterward. Anyone interested in contacting possible sponsors or helping with flyers, posters and ads that need to be created and distributed, can be used as well. "This is such a great event enjoyed by so many members of the community, so we are hoping that if people hear about the situation we are in we will have enough people willing to help us out to make sure the festival can take place for a 15th year," said Lisa Nortz, organizer of the event.
contact Ms. Nortz by email at lisa@silverbenchjewelry.com or you can message the Lewis County Harvest of the Arts Facebook Page. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! |
