| Lyons Falls Man Facing Numerous Charges Following Domestic Dispute 07/06/15 06:55am |
Lyons Falls- Richard A. Johnson, 47, of Lyons Falls was arrested by the Lewis County Sheriff's Department on Friday, following a domestic dispute with his wife. It is alleged that during the dispute, Mr. Johnson removed the valve stem from the passengers side front tire of the family vehicle in an attempt to prevent his wife from leaving the residence. During the ensuing argument, Mr. Johnson is accused of holding his wife down by her neck and slapping her across the face. Shortly after the incident, a fourteen year-old juvenile attempted to intervene. Mr. Johnson allegedly slapped the juvenile across the face and then left the scene in the family vehicle and went to a neighbors residence where he hid from deputies. Mr. Johnson was located a short time later and taken into custody. He was charged with fourth degree Criminal Mischief, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both class "A" misdemeanors, and two counts of second degree Harassment . He was additionally charged with second degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operating a Vehicle Without an Ignition Interlock Device. Mr. Johnson was arraigned in town of Lyonsdale Court and remanded to the Lewis County Jail on $1,000 cash bail. |
